By entering ‘Invisible Gdansk’, you enter complete darkness for half an hour - into the world of blind people, in which, by losing the opportunity to receive stimuli with your eyes, you gain a whole spectrum of new, intriguing sensations. What can you see in the dark? Can you ‘look’ with your hands, ears or nose? Enter the darkness and discover our world that has been out of reach ... of your sight.

Invisible Gdańsk is an amazing place thanks to the people who create it
Our guides are blind or visually impaired people. They will guide you through a world in which they have been functioning for many years, sometimes since childhood. They will show you how to explore the reality around you through touch and hearing. Following their voice and story, you will move safely in complete darkness.
Our guides are open, passionate people who have many different life experiences behind them. They will be happy to answer your questions, show what amenities they can use for household activities, which often seem trivial to us, yet provide people who cannot see with many difficulties. Don't be afraid to ask questions, our wonderful employees want to break the stereotypes by which we separate ourselves from people with some disabilities with a wall - resulting from ignorance or lack of empathy.
‘Invisible Gdansk’ is an attempt to bring the world of the blind to people who are able to see. It is an educational trip into the dark, an opportunity to explore the world previously unknown to us, perceive it with all senses except our eyes.
Visiting the exhibition is an experience - you will leave here not only enriched with new, unusual experience, but also awaken in yourself sensitivity and empathy for blind people, who are numerous among us.
